Based on the level of respect or formality, you can say "I can speak Korean a little bit" in Korean in 3 ways:

  • Informal: na-neun hanguk-eo-reul jogeum mal-hal su itseo (나는 한국어를 조금 말할 수 있어)
  • Formal: jeo-neun hanguk-eo-reul jogeum mal-hal su itseoyo (저는 한국어를 조금 말할 수 있어요), jeo-neun hanguk-eo-reul jogeum mal-hal su itseupnida (저는 한국어를 조금 말할 수 있습니다)
  • Very Formal: jeo-neun hanguk-eo-reul jogeum mal-hal su itseupnida (저는 한국어를 조금 말할 수 있습니다)

- I: na-neun (나는), jeo-neun (저는)
- can speak: mal-hal su itda (말할 수 있다)
- Korean: hanguk-eo (한국어)
- a little bit: jogeum (조금), yakgan (약간)
