How do I choose a right pushchair?

You need to think about how old your child is, first of all - if you are getting a pushchair for a newborn baby, it needs a seat that will go right back so the baby can lie flat, which may not be necessary for an older child. You can also get a carry cot to fit on to a pushchair.

A good pushchair is well padded and has fully adjustable seats. Beyond this, it's also a question of what you need for your lifestyle. If you will be using the car a lot, you should get a pushchair that folds easily and can be stored in the boot (you should be able to try this out in the shop, and it's also a good idea to measure your car boot space before you choose a chair). The same is true for your house - if you have narrow stairs, for example.

You should also consider whether you want your child to be facing you when you walk - many people think this is better for both parent and child, and there are plenty of models that face this way.
