Yohan Blake is from St James, Jamaica. He was born on 26 December 1989, so he is now 23 years old. He is 6 ft 1 tall. Currently he is officially the world's fourth fastest sprinter, with Usain Bolt in first place followed by Tyson Gay and Asafa Powell. He won the gold medal in the 2011 World Championships.

At the Jamaican Olympic trials in 2012, Blake attracted a lot of attention and surprised many people by beating Usain Bolt in the 100 metres. He had not previously run against Bolt, who was disqualified from the 2011 championships which he had been widely expected to win. At 9.75 seconds, his time at the Olympic trials was both a personal best and a record for this year.

Both Bolt and Blake are being heavily bet on as 2012 Olympic winners, with the odds still strongest on Bolt but shortening on Blake.
