No plans have been announced yet. The top UK player has been with his girlfriend, Kim Sears, for about 7 years now. She is the daughter of tennis coach Nigel Sears, and they met at the US Open when Kim, who is now 24, was just 17. Since then she has done a BA degree in English Literature at the University of Sussex, but the two have stayed together ever since apart from a brief split in 2009. Sears works as an artist, especially pictures of pets.

In April 2012 Andy Murray was asked if he had any marriage plans. He said firmly no, adding that Kim was not in any way putting pressure on him to marry. This was probably in response to a jokey remark he made on TV earlier, suggesting that she might have tried to 'push' him into marriage but he wasn't ready. She may well have got annoyed at that!
