The sudden death of the young River Phoenix in 1993 canceled the production of the film 'Dark Blood'.
George Sluizer, the director, has announced that at the end of 2012 the film will be finally completed.

For the final version of 'Dark Blood' an 'off voice' will be edited over the scenes in which Phoenix appear. They have thought about using the voice of the late actor's brother, Joaquin Phoenix.

'Dark Blood' is a dramatic film about a man that decides to leaves everything and live as a hermit waiting for th apocalipsis in nuclear area in the desert. The turnover of the film is the visit of a woman and her partner.
