What was the first picture that was ever uploaded to the internet?

You can see the first ever internet photo here - you will have to scroll down a little way. The photo is the one of 'Les Horribles Cernettes'. These was a spoof band created by several women who worked in the CERN laboratories in Switzerland in 1992. The picture was Photoshopped, which gives an idea of how old these techniques are.
Tim Berners-Lee, the founder of the Internet, was working at CERN at this time and asked Silvano de Gennaro, an IT developer to give him an image that he could use to test a new Web system. Gennaro gave him this photo, which he had taken of the women posing for the cover of a CD they had created for a bit of fun (they had also written a song with comic lyrics).
The photo was uploaded on 18 July 1992, and on its 20th anniversary in 2012 it trended all over the internet, reminding everyone how far the web has come since those days.
