Is your general English good, but you're not sure if you sound good on the phone? Or are you a bit worried about your English vocabulary and whether you know the correct things to say?

If you're concerned about your use of English, you could start by looking at some of the many free online exercises and tips - just put 'telephone English' in a search engine and you will see plenty of options. A good place to start is this free BBC course but there are lots of others.

However, if you will be using the phone a lot and it's important for your job success, you should probably get some lessons as well. This need not be expensive - a lot of people now take lessons via Skype, for instance. You could look for tutors in your local area or use online services like Gumtree - if you look for a skilled teacher of English as a foreign language or business studies, they could give you the practice you need to become confident.
