Question

If you're not popular at school, does it mean you're not a nice social person and no one really likes you?

No, it most certainly does not. It's all too easy to become unpopular at school, because in a school situation most young people are afraid of looking 'wrong' or somehow not fittling in, so anyone who stands out can find themselves being excluded. You can be unpopular for being too clever, for having tastes the others don't share or don't understand or sometimes for no reason at all. So unless you actually did something bad - and you would know if you had - it is most unlikely to be your fault.

If I were you I would forget about the whole group thing at the moment. Groups at school are usually led by the person with the loudest mouth, and you can have a happier time if you try and form good friendships with just a few like-minded people. Taking up a hobby or activity might help - even if it's something seen as uncool, you will make friends and that will give you confidence. So don't feel it's your problem - it isn't, and being less popular at school is no predictor at all of how you're going to get on in life.

Best of luck, and do ask more questions if you think anyone at qsponge can help.
