Vietnam is a very varied country and if you visit several different cities you will notice great differences in climate, culture and architecture, so many visitors like to take a long tour and explore a number of different places. Hanoi is loved by visitors for its mix of Asian and European (especially French) influences and unique attractions like the Old Quarter. If you want to get a feeling for the ancient culture of Vietnam while still being in a thriving modern city, this is a good place to choose.

Another great place to visit is the ancient town of Hoi An. This is smaller than the other two cities mentioned and has preserved its historic buildings and traditions as well as a peaceful atmosphere.
