Can tourists get NHS treatment for free while visiting the UK?

Since 1st August 2011, the Overseas Visitors Hospital Charging Regulations has been into force. This means that it is the duty of NHS to charge overseas visitors for their NHS hospital treatment. So the answer is no, tourists will be charged for their NHS treatment. Even for British citizens, if they do not normally live in the UK, they may also be charged for the treatment received. However, the following NHS treatment are free to all the people in the UK
