Funnily enough, before that film was even released, someone set up a small poll to ask which was the best ever Batman movie - and over half of all respondents said that they believed Batman Returns would be the best, even though nobody had seen it at the time. The second favourite was Batman Begins with 12%.

The film has certainly had a great reception from both fans and (on the whole) critics. Sites like Rotten Tomatoes give it a very high rating, and it's been a huge box office success. But while a lot of people haven't made up their minds yet, and different polls give different results, overall it doesn't look as if this latest movie will beat the Dark Knight in the end (as far as people's opinions are concerned, anyway). It may have been overhyped as well, which can cause viewers to be disappointed when they actually see the film.
