This film was made at so many different locations that they can't all be named here, but you can find a full list here. The main locations include the UK, especially London, Glasgow and Nottingham; Jodhpur in India; and several US locations including New York, Los Angeles and New Jersey.

One of the main differences from earlier Batman films is that Gotham city setting will no longer be in Chicago. Instead the city will be based on Detroit, so fans can expect a somewhat different look to the Gotham landscape this time.

The Dark Knight Rises, directed by Christopher Nolan, is due to be released in UK cinemas on 20 July 2012. It is expected to do very well at the box office, and fans are looking forward to something different: Batman and Catwoman working together in the fight against crime (Catwoman is played by Anne Hathaway).
