There isn't a simple way to achieve success, but there is a simple way to get the attitudes that make for success, and this can be summed up in a short sentence: 'Don't give up'. Often it really is as simple as that.

Almost all the people you meet who have succeeded at anything, whether in career, hobby or private life, will tell you that they had lots of failures but they just kept going and eventually turned them into successes. A few examples include:

  • JK Rowling, who suffered multiple rejections for her Harry Potter stories.
  • James Dyson, who created over 5,000 prototypes for his new vacuum cleaner before he got it right and went on to create his top-selling product.
  • Ernest Hemingway, who rewrote the ending of his most famous novel, A Farewell to Arms', 70 times.

Always remember: YOU haven't failed. Your project, plan etc hasn't succeeded yet so you need to do some more work on it, that's all. You could try some of these sayings for further motivation.

Good luck!
