Adele's full name is Adele Laurie Blue Atkins. She began singing at the age of 4; she was raised by a single mother who loved arts and music and always encouraged her daughter's talent. Even as a small child Adele loved to perform and used to imitate bands that were popular at the time, like the Spice Girls (she was born in 1988 and the Spice Girls were a huge sensation in the early 1990s).
She began to be interested in Rhythm and Blues at the age of 14; by this time she was already at the BRIT school for performing arts in London; she left this school in 2006 aged 18. She had already started her career at this point, in fact she wrote her first song at 16. However, it was after leaving the school that she got her first record deal and began to be famous soon afterwards.
