Toners can be used to remove remaining traces of make-up, close the pores, tighten the skin, boost circulation and etc. Its better to choose a toner that does not contain alcohol. This is because alcohol can dehydrate your skin, and damage the collagen below the surface. Toners like witch hazel can also dry your skin unless you use it together with vitamin E.

Clean your face first, then apply a small amount of toner to a cotton pad, sweep slightly over your face. You can also spritz the toner onto your face to get a more refreshing tone. Apply moisturiser immediately afterwards.
