What happens when an egg fails to implant?

If the fertilised egg fails to implant in the womb, you will normally have a delay in periods, and may also experience heavier periods. In other words, you are not pregnant any more, as the the cell formed from the egg and sperm did not survive. Although it is a sad event, but you may not even realize that you had an fertilised egg if the implant procedure failed.

The failure of implant in most of cases is caused by the abnormality of the egg.
