The current favourites are Spain and Germany. Germany are due to play against Italy in the semi-final after Italy beat England on 24 June in a penalty shoot-out. Spain will play against Portugal in the semi-final. Portugal and Italy are currently ranked third and fourth, so clearly anything could happen, but most commentators are still expecting a final between Germany and Spain. Spain are the Euro champions at present, but Germany have won all their games so far and are considered the top team in this tournament. They will also get a slightly longer rest than their opponents before their semi-final, something the Italian coach has complained about. However, this is something that really can't be helped.
