Is there a medical term for fear of rats?

The medical term given for the fear of mice and rats is Musophobia. The word muso is derived from the latin word mus meaning mouse.
Musophobia is one of the more common phobias that people suffer from. The phobia can be triggered by the sight of a rat or mouse in a room or even seeing them on the TV or in movies.
Everyone reacts to their fear in different ways with some people screaming others running to another room and some attempting to get to higher ground by climbing on a chair.
