The popular Colombian singer Shakira has been dating FC Barcelona's player Gerard Pique since 2010.
Previously, Shakira had been in a relationship with Antonio de la Rua, son of former Angentina's President Fernando de la Rua.
Shakira and Pique first met during the shooting of the promotional video for Waka-Waka (This time for Africa), official song of the 2010 Fifa World Cup held in South Africa.
They kept their relationship secret, until she moved to Barcelona and finally announced her relationship via Twitter and Facebook on March 29, 2011. The message said: "I introduce you to my sunshine'.
Gerard Pique plays as a central defender for the acclaimed soccer team FC Barcelona and is also a member of the Spanish National Team, current World Champions.
