There are two international airports which fly you to Paris: Roissy-Charles de Gaulle (CDG) and Orly (ORY). While most domestic French flights arrive at Orly (ORY). International flights generally arrive at Roissy-Charles de Gaulle (CDG). Both Roissy-Charles de Gaulle and Orly have duty-free shops, post offices, car rentals, restaurants, hotels, and transport into the city centre.Roissy-Charles de Gaulle is located in the north of Paris and near Roissy-en-France. It began service on 8th March 1974 and has 3 terminals. You can take free 24-hour Véhicule Automatique Léger (VAL) shuttle train or free TransRoissy shuttle buses to navigate between terminals and rail stations.

The distance from Roissy-Charles de Gaulle to central Paris is about 17 miles (28 km). If you choose to take a taxi, it can cost you €60 or more. If its after 7pm or Sundays, surcharge will occur. And don't forget the tip to the driver, which is about 10% of the fare.

If you are tight to a budget, you can take the Roissy bus, which only costs €9.10 one way and is available between 9am and 11pm. The journey to centre of Paris ask about 50-60 mins. You can take Bus 350 or 351, which is even cheaper, only costs €4.80. However it only runs once a day: 9:30pm for Bus 350 and 8:30pm for Bus 351.

And of course, you still have the choice of taking a train - Réseau express régional rail line will take you from the airport to Paris and its sorter suburbs.
