How do I clean a cooker hood?

You don't need to clean cooker hoods every day. You can do it once a week.
Before cleaning, switch off at the mains!
Wipe the hood with a cloth wrung out in hot water and a liquid cleanser. And then use a dry cloth to finish.
You need to do a thorough clean about twice a year by dismantling the hood. This enable you to clean the cover thoroughly inside and out. It also gives you a chance to replace the filter.
