Florida is a state located in the south eastern part of the USA.
The name of Florida means Flowery Land and according to history it was named by the Spanish conqueror Ponce de Leon, perhaps because he reached this territory during the Easter season (Pascua Florida) or perhaps because he was impressed of the vision of this land in bloom.
