Your age is a factor in deciding what is a healthy weight, but it's more important to know your height. If you divide your weight by your height in square metres you can calculate your body mass index, or you can do it with this tool. This will help you know if your general weight is healthy, or if you are overweight or obese. Roughly, a BMI over 25 suggests you are overweight, over 30 is considered obese and over 40 is dangerously, or morbidly obese.

That's not the whole story, though. People who do a lot of exercise can appear overweight using this system, because muscle is heavier than fat. Also, some fat is more dangerous than others; a lot of weight around the middle is worse than on the body overall.
