In general skin conditions can be divided into the following: normal skin, dry skin, oily skin and sensitive skin.

Use a piece of tissue to pad on several places of your face. If you have a tiny bit of oil residue all over the face, your skin condition is normal, which also means balanced skin.

If you have no oil residue, your skin is dry. The dry skin can be further divided into dehydrated dry and oily dry. Dehydrated dry skin means skin does not have enough water but does not lack of oil. So avoid using rich oil-based moisturiser. For oily dry skin, you need to supply your skin both water and oil, so a rich oil based cream is a good choice plus drinking a lot of water.

If you have too much oil residue on the tissue, your skin is oily, which is not necessarily a bad thing as oily skin has less wrinkles.

Sensitive skin appears red or inflamed but sometimes it show no symptom. Sensitive skin can be genetic or be caused by stress, sun exposure, or unsuitable skin care products. For best results, you need to consult your dermatologist.
