SPF (sun protection factor) is an indicator of the time that sunscreens can protect the skin from reddening /burning when exposing to the sun. The higher the factor, the more protection it gives. Usually, SPF 15 can block 92% of UV rays while SPF can block 97%. It is also important to remember to apply 30 minuetes before going out, and reapply every 2 hours to achieve the best protection.

Sunscreens need to kept in a cool and dry place. Usually, a bottle of sunscreen can last 1-2 years. However, the effect of the sunscreens is weakened after 2 years, so there is no point to apply it if it more than 2 years old.
