The best time of day to take pregnancy test is first thing in the morning. Your urine has the highest concentration of hormones when you wake up in the morning so that the tests can detect the level of pregnancy hormone and human chorionic gonadotropin. But this only applies to early pregnancy test. If your period is late, you can take a test any time of the day.
For best result to take a pregnancy test is to wait till you have past the longest menstrual cycle that you normally have.
Early result pregnancy tests are available, which enable you get results 3-4 days before your missed period, but tend to give you a false result.
