It's not unusual to feel weak, shaky or light-headed, especially in the first few months. In most cases this is due to changes in your body, especially to your heart rate, which is faster, and your blood pressure, which drops in the early months and then starts to rise again about half way through.

Usually if you lie down straight away and rest for a little while, this shaky feeling will pass away. It's recommended that you lie on your left side to help the blood flow more easily to your heart. In general, you should also try to avoid sudden movements, eat a healthy regular diet and drink plenty of water.

If you are often dizzy or feel really unwell, you should speak to a doctor. There is always a chance of an underlying problem such as anaemia, for example. You can find more advice here.
