Asthma does not usually cause any significant harm to the pregnancy. However, severe asthma may cause premature labor or restrict the baby's growth. During pregnancy, the demand for oxygen increases by about 50%. If you have asthma, you may feel even breathless. Generally, inhaled bronchodilators are safe to use during pregnancy, if its under medical supervision. If there is any complication, always consult your doctor.
